New Hermitage is going on tour! I’m very much looking forward to making mellow chamber jazz sax/harp/guitar/cello sounds across Canada. We’ll be presenting two sound walks at the Canadian New Music Network forum in Victoriaville and Montréal, outdoor experimental interaction with the environment and participants of the forum. Then we’ll perform our way eastward to Halifax’s OBEY Convention. Our EP is listenable here, and here are our dates:
May 17 – Victoriaville, QC, Canadian New Music Network Forum
May 18 – Montreal, QC – La Vitrola – 8:30pm info
May 21 – Fredericton, NB – Reads – 7pm info
May 22 – St. John, NB – Rogue Coffee – 7pm info

I’m also very excited to be a young artist at the Scotia Festival of Music again this year. Philip Glass is the composer in residence this year, how legendary! I’ll be performing a few times throughout the festival, but most notably, I’ll be playing Glass’ pithy String Quartet no. 2 in Highlight Concert #9. More info here.
The past few months have been dense with activity… amongst other endeavours, I recorded or premiered four works by graduate students of McGill’s composition program, working with composers Maria Atallah, TJ Cole, James Rubino, and Keith Stratton. Here is a recording of Keith Stratton’s “Lullaby No. 1” that we made in February.
Glad spring tidings.
